Privacy Policy

What OPTLYNX.app collects and how it is used. Optlynx collects only the minimum it needs.

1. What we collect

Optlynx receives only the following:

Your email address (entered on Polar’s checkout when you sign up)
Your GitHub username (used for repository invitations)
Payment records (plan, amount, payment date, subscription status and billing country, as shared by Polar)
Inquiries you send us (name, email address and message)

Card numbers and other payment details are handled by Polar and its partners and never reach Optlynx.

2. Why we use it

To send repository invitations and remove read access when you cancel
To bill fees and manage your subscription
To send important notices about the Service (changes to fees or terms, the end of the Service, and so on)
To reply to inquiries
To prevent use that breaches the Terms of Service
To keep records required by law

We use it for nothing else. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

3. Service providers

To run the Service, the following companies handle information:

Polar (polar.sh): Payment processing, billing and tax calculation. Handles email addresses, payment information and GitHub connection details
GitHub: Repository invitations and read-access management. Handles GitHub usernames

Apart from this, we do not share information with anyone without your consent, except where required by law.

4. Transfers outside Japan

Polar and GitHub may process information outside Japan, including in the United States. Each protects it under its own privacy policy.

5. How long we keep it

We keep it while you are subscribed. After the subscription ends, we delete it once the period required by tax and accounting law (generally seven years) has passed.

6. Security

We limit who can handle the information and manage access rights and logs to prevent leaks and loss.

7. This website

OPTLYNX.app does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. Only your display setting (light or dark) is stored in your own browser, and it never reaches Optlynx.

8. Your requests

To see, correct, delete or stop the use of your information that Optlynx holds, contact us through the contact form on optlynx.com. We will confirm your identity and respond promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page. We will also email subscribers about important changes.
